Enormous research went into the 40-year time period to identify the most important events of the Prophet's ﷺ life. This was followed by a conceptualization process involving educational psychology. Children often learn best when they're having fun - playing. This is called gamification of education. It was therefore decided that the best way for the timeline to take shape would be as a board-game, something that children wouldn't just hang as a poster, but actually interact and play with.
